Allstate Foundation Positive Play Program

The Museum has long served as a crossroads where children from all backgrounds can play and learn together. Through the Allstate Foundation Positive Play Program, a partnership with the Glenview and Chicago Public School Districts, teachers are provided with extensive training and tools to implement an anti-bias curriculum into their pre-kindergarten and kindergarten classrooms. Each teacher attends three professional development trainings led by nationally recognized anti-bias trainers, receives critical funds for classroom materials and supplies, and brings their classrooms to the Museum for two focused field trips specifically coordinated to provide experiences with children from different ethnic, racial, and linguistic backgrounds.
